A materiality-based project which experiments with rhubarb and reused cardboard to create a wearable set of earrings. The shredded cardboard creates an organic, tree or rock-like appearance to which Léa added rhubarb peels. Fusing together two uncanny materials, her jewellery piece explores environmental waste as well as makes a distinction between recyclable and compostable waste. The result is an imaginative take on recycling that gives a fresh life to discarded materials, in which Léa produces a pair of unique, inimitable earrings.
